Open Space, Sport and Recreation Study
Assessment Report 2007
The Open Space, Sport and Recreation Study was completed in 2007 by Knight, Kavenagh and Page (KKP), to provide Malvern Hills District Council with a detailed picture of the number, type, quality and usage levels of our districts public open space and sports facilities.
Within each section you will find a short introduction, the context, the key issues and a summary/recommendations.
Please be aware that with the study being over 3 years old, we can not guarantee that the findings for every section remain 100% accurate, however the information may be used as a basis for both funding and planning applications.
This was a PPG17 compliant audit of our facilities and open space and contributed to the development of the districts Local Development Framework.
For more up to date information about the district sport and recreation facilities, it is advisable that you review our new Sports Facility Framework 2010 and the Playing Pitch Strategy 2010.
