New website for mums with bump

New website for mums with bumps!

Worcestershire County Council has launched their brand new website for pregnant mums and their families. The website features free videos that families can watch at their leisure right through from pregnancy to early days at home with their baby. features useful sections for parents depending on which stage of pregnancy they are at. The pregnancy section features videos of healthy lifestyles and common issues and the labour and birth section shows parents different birthing options, how to cope with early labour and a useful story of birth and established labour MP3 to listen to when mothers are in actual labour. There are also useful videos for mums and dads on how to cope with those early days such as looking after the cord and changing a nappy.

Anthea Griffiths, Children’s Centre Midwife said: "The new website is an excellent resource for all new and expectant families.   Alongside the films it also provides links to the Bump to Breastfeeding DVD plus the Birth to Five and Pregnancy Books."

The website has been launched to compliment The From Bump to Baby DVD which was made available to all pregnant mums in Worcestershire in 2010 through their antenatal Bounty packs. The DVD was produced with Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust and was nominated for a Royal College of Midwives Partnership Working Award.
