Insulation Projects

A new addition to the Spend to Save scheme is the inclusion of low cost insulation (cavity walls and roofing) and draught proofing projects, above £500.

The process for apply for funding for self organised insulation and draught proofing projects (not below £500), is detailed below:

  1. Site send in quotation along with completed Spend to Save Application Form - Self Organised (EXCEL 448 KB) - to A payback period of 4 years is assigned to insulation projects and 3 years for draught proofing.
  2. If approved, the Spend to Save form is then returned to the site confirming whether funding has been awarded from the Spend to Save fund.
  3. When the work is completed, the site sends the contractors' invoices to together with the signed off* Spend to Save form.
  4. The site payback the savings until the payback period has elapsed


*We will require the signature of the budget holder who is agreeing to fund the repayment out of savings in their energy bill.
