For 2021 we are offering our residents the opportunity to try cycling as a way of helping people to lead a more active lifestyle, improve their well being and fitness.
The 10 week programme will incorporate cycling proficiency (known as Bikeability) to help build individual’s confidence of cycling on the road, improve cycle skills as well as build confidence of riding in a group, improve fitness and stamina. Instructor, Rachel Nicholls will also be providing advice and support to help people progress to building up your miles on a bike.
Our course also includes your cycling proficiency badges and a graduation certificate. A graduation ride will take place on a Sunday at the end of the 10 weeks.
This course is suitable for anyone who perhaps hasn’t ridden since they were a teenager or simply hasn’t ridden for a while. You might also have limited confidence of riding a bike, especially on the road.
