We encourage you to stay active whilst being at home. Sport England has  released their #StayInWorkOut campaign where they have lots of advice and tips on how to stay active on their webpage.

Malvern Hills District Council is delivering a free Walking for health programme as part of the England’s largest network of health walk schemes.  Our walks aim to help people across the country lead a more active lifestyle. Our group walks are led by our Physical Activity and Well Being Officer, Rachel Vann who is a friendly, specially trained walk leader who will be on hand to provide encouragement and support, and make sure no one gets left behind.

Our walks are short and over easy terrain, and are open to everyone but are especially aimed at those who are least active.  Our walks usually last for 30-60 mins and will be tailored to the group each month.

A new walking for health group has recently been launched at the Cobhouse Country Park, Worcester Rd, Worcester WR6 6YE, taking place on the last Monday of every month.   

We encourage all new walkers to arrive before 10.15am so that we can register you. All of our walks then start at 10.30am.

All new walkers MUST complete a registration form for the walking for health group. Walking to Fitness Programme

New for 2020, Walking to Fitness is an eight week rolling  walking programme which is ideal for complete beginners or for those looking to get more active. It is all done at your own pace and no one is ever left behind. It is an interval based walking group which is a mix of faster paced walking (enough to get you a little out of breath) and slower recovery walking. The sessions generally take between 30 to 45 minutes and include an appropriate warm up and cool down.

The course costs just £20 per person, or you can simply drop in each week for just £3.
