What is Green Dog Walkers?
Green Dog Walkers (GDW) is a non-confrontational, friendly way to help change attitudes about dog fouling across the Malvern Hills District.
It also supports the Public Space Protection Order, which enables us to enforce a fixed penalty notice for dog fouling, in compliance with The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996.
GDW is a national scheme that has previously won the UK Kennel Club Dog Recognition Award, featured at Crufts, and was a finalist for the CIWM Innovation in Waste Management Award.
Take the Green Dog Walker pledge
All Green Dog Walkers will take a pledge to always:
- Clean up after their dog
- Carry extra dog waste bags
- Be happy to be approached to lend a dog waste bag to those without
- Be a friendly reminder to other dog walkers to clean up after their dogs
To become a Green Dog Walker download and return the pledge form or complete online.
Once we have received the form you will receive a GDW badge, free poo bags, and an information pack.
If you belong to a Town/Parish Council, private organisation or voluntary organisation and wish to run your own GDW activities in your area, we would love to hear from you.

Community Dog Walk & Talk
The first Green Dog Walkers Community Dog Walk & Talk at St Wulstan's Local Nature Reserve took place on Friday 31 May. This was an opportunity for both dog walkers and dogs to socialise whilst walking within a beautiful nature reserve and taking in the views of the Malvern Hills. Attendees on the day also took the Green Dog Walker pledge.
We hope to hold another Community Dog Walk & Talk in the near future. If you are interested, or have any suggestions for the next walk please contact: email@example.com.
