Late-night shopping continues in town centres across the district

Shops across the district are staying open later to give people the chance to support local businesses this Christmas.

A selection of traders will be offering late-night shopping on the following dates:

  • Tenbury Wells: 17 December until 7pm
  • Upton-upon-Severn: 22 December until 7pm
  • Great Malvern: 23 December until 7.30pm

Late-night shopping has been available since the start of December to encourage people to shop local.

As well as this, families have been taking part in the Christmas Shop Window Trail. Each town centre has their own trail with letters hidden in shop windows for children to find.

The letters make up a jumbled Christmas word or phrase and there it a prize available. Shoppers are also encouraged to vote for their favourite Christmas window display.

Free parking is also on offer in Malvern Hills District Council owned car parks after 3pm until 24 December.

Cllr Sarah Rouse, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism, said: "The offer of late-night shopping and free parking is an opportunity for shoppers to support their local businesses this Christmas after a difficult year. There is still time to do some Christmas shopping and to visit town centres with confidence that safety measures are in place".
