New grants of up to £1,000 available for early stage businesses in the Malvern Hills District
Early stage and start-up businesses within the Malvern Hills District can now benefit from a new business grant scheme.
The Malvern Hills Enterprise Scheme, launched by Malvern Hills District Council, offers grants of up to £1,000 to businesses that have been trading less than three years.
Support is also available which includes access to free business advice provided by ALP Synergy Ltd as part of the Enterprising Worcestershire Programme.
For those that have not yet started trading support includes:
• The Start-Up Club, a six hour series of expert led workshops on key business start-up topics like 'Creating and testing your business plan' and 'Launching your new product or service'.
• A support network of other people taking their first steps to start a business.
• Further Peer to Peer sessions for those people planning to start a business which trades with other businesses.
• One to one support sessions to help you to refine your thinking and challenge you to succeed.
The support will be delivered online and at a range of times.
For business to consumer businesses that have started trading and are under three years old, access to up to three hours of bespoke 1:1 business support is available.
Alternative support is available for businesses that trade business to business.
Cllr Daniel Walton, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "The Malvern Hills Enterprise Scheme provides a great package of support to help new and young businesses in their early stages. We hope that the grant and associated support will help stimulate entrepreneurship, create new jobs, and enhance the sustainability of new businesses."
