A brand new music festival is set to spring into action in Upton-upon-Severn next week.
The Spring Fling, which will be held from 7pm on 13-15 March, will feature 48 gigs in 48 hours across ten local venues.
Venues will include The Swan, The Anchor, The Boathouse, The King's Head, The White Lion and more.
The family-friendly event has been organised by events group Upton48 with the aim of showcasing the idyllic town of Upton-upon-Severn and its local businesses.
Beverley Nielsen, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "The Spring Fling Festival will be a great addition to the town's exciting calendar of events and we hope both residents and visitors will enjoy it. The community spirit is so strong in Upton-upon-Severn and this festival is an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful town".
Kyle Hassall, Chair of Upton Licensee Committee, said:"Upton48 was created to promote tourism in Upton-upon-Severn during the town's quieter months. Myself and the licensee committee worked together to develop an idea that would attract a large tourist base whilst staying true to the town's musical routes. We came up with the slogan 48 gigs in 48 hours planning to fill the weekend with enough gigs to suit everyone's musical tastes".
