Walking For Health

What is it?

Malvern Hills District Council is delivering a Walking for health programme as part of the England’s largest network of health walk schemes.  Our walks aim to help people across the country lead a more active lifestyle. Our group walks are led by our Physical Activity and Well Being Officer, Rachel Vann who is a friendly, specially trained walk leader who will be on hand to provide encouragement and support, and make sure no one gets left behind.

Is this course for me?

Our walks are short and over easy terrain, and are open to everyone but are especially aimed at those who are least active.  Our walks usually last for 30-60 mins and will be tailored to the group each month.

Where do the walks take place?

We are launching a new walking for health group at the Cobhouse Country Park, Worcester Rd, Worcester WR6 6YE.

When do your walks start?

Our new walking for health group starts on Monday 24th September.  Our walks will then take place on the last Monday of every month.

What time do you meet?

We encourage all new walkers to arrive at before 10.15am so that we can register you.  All of our walks then then start at 10.30am.

How much does it cost?

All of our walks are free.

How to book (NEW WALKERS MUST PRE-REGISTER)

All new walkers MUST register with our new scheme.  Please email us to register via: getactive@malvernhills.gov.uk or telephone: 01684 862475.
