Festive cheer with new Tenbury Wells Christmas Markets

Christmas joy and festivities will soon be heading to Tenbury Wells when the town hosts two Christmas Markets.

Tenbury Christmas Markets take place on Thursday 9 December from 2pm to 7pm, they will be held at Tesco Market Place and the historic Round Market in Market Square.

Stall holders at Tesco Market Place will be selling local artisan produce, arts, crafts and perfect Christmas gifts. The Round Market will also have Christmas gifts, together with Christmas wreaths.

Local shops across the town will also be in the festive spirit as they open their doors until 7pm with a late-night shopping treat from traders such as Harlequins, Georgina Franklin Jewellery, Mr Thom's and more.

There will be lots on offer for visitors to enjoy with live festive music, including the Tenbury Primary School Choir from 5pm, Tenbury Primary Year Six Girls Choir at 5.30pm, and Tenbury Town Band from 5.45pm - 7pm. These will all be taking place at the Arts Market and walking through town ending at the Round Market. The Royal British Legion Choir will also be singing at Tesco 3pm - 4pm.

The event has been organised in partnership with Malvern Hills District Council, Boffy Markets and Tenbury Town Council.

Cllr Daniel Walton, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Economic Development at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "Christmas markets are a great way to celebrate and introduce the festive period, we are really looking forward to seeing the town bustling with Christmas spirit. There is also a great opportunity to finish the evening by booking a table at one of Tenbury's lovely restaurants."
