Malvern Hills District Council's famous double act Dan and Jude have swapped the big screen for the microphone with the launch of their very own podcast.
Community and Environment Protection Officers, Dan Bayliss and Jude Allen, who were stars of Channel 5's 'Grime and Punishment', started the podcast in January this year to get their important environmental messages across to the public and residents.
The podcast focuses on pressing matters within the community, such as dog fouling, fly tipping, littering, and more.
The series will also include interviews with council staff and residents, a visit to Envirosort to see how waste is recycled within the district, and talks about wider environmental issues such as the council's Destination Zero Plan.
Episode one is still available, and features talks on littering and their award winning Adopt a Street litter-picking scheme.
In the next episode the team will discuss their experience at the Keep Britain Tidy national awards, where they were shortlisted in the community engagement category for their efforts on environmental improvements.
Cllr Tom Wells, Portfolio Holder for Community Services at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "This podcast is a great new way to share environmental information with our residents by officers who are making a real difference out in the community. Podcasts are convenient and easy to tune in and listen to on the go whilst at work or home, it's a different form of communication that we hope residents find useful and enjoyable."
Dan Bayliss, Community and Environment Protection Officer at Malvern Hills District Council said: "We are always looking at different ways to get our messages over to the general public, and a podcast is something a little different to how local councils normally try to put messages across. We have so many valuable topics to discuss and we are really looking forward to connecting with our residents."
