Town centre Easter trails ready to entertain youngsters over the holidays

Easter fun will soon be arriving in the popular towns of Tenbury and Upton to ensure youngsters have a cracking time during the Easter holidays.

The free trails, which start on Tuesday, 12 April and run until Saturday, 16 April, take place in the town centres of Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn.

The trail in Tenbury involves youngsters searching for 19 hidden Easter chicks around the town centre to reveal an Easter phrase. Once the phrase has been discovered, a prize can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre, located on Teme Street.

Upton's trail involves youngsters solving riddles to find numbered eggs in shop windows around the high street. Once the riddles have been solved they will be able to help the Easter bunny find the final number of the golden egg, a prize can then be collected from the Tourist Information Centre, located in the Pepperpot.

Cllr Daniel Walton, Portfolio Holder for Economy and Tourism on Malvern Hills District Council, said: "We are really pleased to be holding these fun easter trails and it's great our local high street traders are getting involved. Tenbury and Upton are lovely towns to explore and have a stroll around, which makes it ideal for the whole family to get involved."

Cllr Bridget Thomas, from Malvern Hills District Council said: "Easter is a great time to get out and about in the fresh air, and these free trails are perfect for children of all ages. It is also a great opportunity for residents and visitors to discover our historical towns and visit areas they may not usually go to."

Easter trail sheets can be picked up from the Tourist Information Centres in Tenbury and Upton from Tuesday 12 April.
