Last call for local businesses to advertise in low-cost discount book

Local businesses are being encouraged to sign up to a low-cost discount book as deadline is extended.

The District Discount book aims to generate footfall and new sales for local businesses within the Malvern Hills District.

The deadline for more businesses to apply is Monday 30 January 2023.

The initiative forms part of Malvern Hills District Council's commitment to supporting local businesses and communities as part of their Town Centre Plans.

For five pounds, businesses will be able to advertise a voucher or discount of their choice, including a logo and/or photo.

The adverts will feature in 5000 booklets, all containing vouchers and discounts, which will be available to customers for six months.

The booklets will then go on sale to customers online and in stores from February at a low cost of £1.

There is also an option for businesses to sell the books and retain some of the costs.

Cllr Daniel Walton, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Economic Development at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "We've had a good take up to date but there is still space for more businesses to get involved, it's a great opportunity to advertise any discounts at a low cost. Local discounts and offers will enable residents and visitors to get excellent value for money, along with the chance to support local businesses."
