Jobs Fair returns to Great Malvern

Job seekers could soon find a new job or career when the Malvern Jobs Fair returns this month.

The free jobs fair, organised by The Job Centre, Great Malvern Library and supported by Malvern Hills District Council, will be held from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday, 25 October, at Malvern Library on Graham Road.

With over 25 employers attending, people can drop in, ask questions, and take a look at a whole host of vacancies and opportunities in the district.

They can also find out about other information and ideas for careers, training, apprenticeships, and self-employment options.

Amongst the employers in attendance, there will be Worcester City Council, Community Action, Card Factory, Worcester Bosch, Royal Navy, Sanctuary Supported Living, Malvern College, and much more.

There will also be experts on hand offering other opportunities, including:

  • Young Adult Learning Worcestershire, with traineeships and study programmes.
  • Skills for Life Bootcamps, free flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for people aged over 19.
  • Worcestershire Apprenticeships, supporting young people interested in Apprenticeships.
  • National Careers Service, providing careers information, advice and guidance.

Cllr Beverley Nielsen, Portfolio Holder for Tourism and Economic Development at Malvern Hills District Council, said: "This is a great opportunity for job seekers to chat face to face with potential employers, get help and advice with ideas, applying for jobs or a change of career path. It is open to everyone, so I'd really encourage people to pop along and not miss out on a potential opportunity."

If people would like to avoid the crowds or chat at a quieter time the best time for this would be between 12:30pm and 1pm.
