Remembrance Day Services 2024
Remembrance Sunday falls on 10 November this year and is an opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those that have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
Below you can find information on local Remembrance Day services across the Malvern Hills District:
Malvern
Thursday 7 November (opening ceremony of the Field of Remembrance 10.40am) arrival from 10.30am. Sunday 10 November, Great Malvern Priory Church, 10am service.
Sunday 10 November, Parade starts outside Great Malvern Post Office, approx. 10.40 – 10.45am. Parade marches down to Great Malvern Library grounds for the wreath laying service at the war memorial.
Monday 11 November, Armistice Day, Great Malvern Priory, 10.40am service.
Tenbury Wells
Sunday 10 November- 10.15am parade from Tesco to St Mary's Church. 10.25am wreath laying ceremony, 10.50am church service, 11.50am parade from St Mary's Church to Tesco
Monday 11 November- 10.55am Armistice Day two minute silence ceremony at the Civic Memorial Garden. Refreshments in the Pump Rooms afterwards.
Upton upon Severn
Sunday 10 November- 10:20am the Remembrance Sunday parade will set off from New Street on its journey to the Parish Church. After the service, the parade will head back to the War Memorial (at approximately 11.45am) for the wreath-laying ceremony.
Monday 11 November- 10.45am on Armistice Day there will be a short wreath-laying and flag-raising ceremony outside the Memorial Hall.
