NEWS: Help Pendock Primary reach their fundraising target

Pendock Primary School has just over one month left to reach their fundraising target to help them create an inspiring play and educational area.

The school is fundraising to improve the existing early years space because it is no longer weatherproof, tired and needs structural improvement and extension so children can play and learn safely and in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

So far, £17,009 has been pledged through crowdfunding platform Spacehive, which helps communities raise funds to improve local areas and services.

Malvern Hills District Council has pledged £10,984 towards the project from their Connected Communities Fund.

In order to access the pledges the campaign must hit its fundraising target of £21,618 by 31 March, 2025.

Improvements include:

  • Replace existing roof structure and canopy covering and extend the space used for Early Years and KS1 pupils.
  • Purchase new storage and furniture and redecorate the area with artwork.
  • Purchase new toys, books, outdoor play equipment and sensory items.

Jennifer Taylor, Director of Housing and Communities at Malvern Hills District Council, said: “We are really pleased to support community projects that come forward in this way to help connect communities across the district via asset based approaches.”
