NEWS: Malvern Hills District thriving as new businesses open their doors

The Malvern Hills District is thriving as new businesses open their doors to residents and visitors. 

Popular towns and villages within the district, including Malvern, Upton upon Severn, and Witley, are bursting with new ventures and independent businesses for all to enjoy and explore.   

New businesses include: 

  • Rock on Son Records - Record shop in Upton. 
  • Secret Garden Tearoom, Great Witley. 
  • Strawberry Tree - Boutique gift shop, Great Malvern. 
  • Little Olive’s Play Cafe – soft play, role play village and sensory nest, Great Malvern. 
  • Stitch Hollow – Handmade items, fabrics, cotton thread, craft supplies and more, Malvern Link. 
  • Lonsdale Fruit, Veg and Coffee Shop – Great Malvern. 
  • Jasper & Pip - Home, fragrance and clothing shop – Great Malvern. 
  • The Watson Kitchen, Artisan Cheesecake and Coffee Shop, Great Malvern - opening soon. 
  • Tech Tony in Upton - Computer support, training and musical instruments for sale – opening soon.  
  • Malvern Ink and Curtain Festival – A summer programme of performing arts events, 5 July – 31 August at the Coach House Theatre, Great Malvern. 

Cllr Beverley Nielsen, Portfolio holder for Economy and Tourism, at Malvern Hills District Council said: “It is great news to see new businesses opening in our district. We always encourage residents to shop locally, support our innovative independent stores, events and festivals, and help the area thrive”.
