Residents who pay Council Tax in the Malvern Hills district are being offered the chance to enter a £100 voucher prize draw simply by signing up to receive their bill online.
Malvern Hills District Council (MHDC) has launched a new campaign encouraging people to sign up to e-billing where they will receive their Council Tax bills and other important information by secure email rather than by post.
With nearly half of residents across the district already signed up to e-billing, the council is hoping to increase this number.
Anyone who signs up during the campaign period will be automatically entered into the prize draw, as well as people who are already signed up to e-billing.
There are two £100 vouchers up for grabs which can be used at a local, independent business in the district.
Switching to e-billing takes a few minutes and gives residents instant access to their bills in a secure, convenient, paper-free format.
It also helps the council reduce printing and postage costs, saving approximately £1 per person who makes the switch. Those savings can then be reinvested into the council’s services.
Cllr John Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Resources at MHDC, said: “E-billing is quicker, easier and better for the environment. It reduces waste, saves money and helps us put more back into the services residents rely on. And with the chance to win a £100 voucher to spend locally, now is the perfect time to make the switch.”
The prize draw will run until 20 February 2026, terms and conditions apply. Traditional billing and payment methods will continue to be available.
