The completion of repair works to an iconic historic building in Upton-upon-Severn will be celebrated with a special exhibition.
The history of the Pepperpot, which has recently undergone extensive renovations, will be recognised through a small photography exhibition which will start on Saturday, 12 September in its heritage centre.
The photographs, provided by The Tudor House Museum and Malvern Hills District Council, will showcase the building’s history and the recent restoration work carried out to preserve it for future generations.
It will be held as part of Heritage Open Days, which runs from 11 to 20 September, offering people the chance to discover hidden places and try new experiences for free.
As part of the programme, on 12 September from 10am, visitors to Upton will also have the opportunity to step back in time as the Worcester Civil War Reenactors take over the historic church grounds beside the building.
Live demonstrations will also take place at the Tudor House Museum and Gardens, marking the 375th anniversary of the end of the English Civil War in 1651.
The Pepperpot, a prominent local landmark dating back to the 14th century, has undergone repair work over the past few months to restore the church tower, cupola and lantern.
The surrounding grounds have also been made more accessible, with new handrails installed and the entrance ramp restored. Works will soon finish on the boundary wall.
