Electric Vehicle Charging Points

There are charging points across the district:

  • Council House car park, Malvern -  2 charging post with 4 sockets available.
  • New Street car park, Upton -  2 charging post with 4 sockets available.
  • Teme Street car park, Tenbury Wells -  3 charging post with 6 sockets available.
  • Link Top car park, Malvern -  3 charging post with 6 sockets available.

The Swarco 'evolt' charging posts are equipped with Mode Three 'Type Two' charging sockets and are rated at 7kW.

The charging bays are clearly marked with a green background and an electric car charging logo in white, they are reserved exclusively for the parking of charging electric vehicles.

To access any of the charging sockets simply go to the first charger nearest to Priory Road, follow the instructions on the charger and touch the screen, this will then guide you through starting to charge your vehicle.

There is no need to register with an app or with MHDC as you can use debit and credit cards directly at the site although you can download the Swarco Econnect App to your mobile phone.

Please note that the normal parking charges apply to each of the bays so you will also need to obtain a parking ticket, as below.

If you have issues connecting to the EV chargers, please contact Swarco. Details can be found on the charger.
