Residents are being urged to remember those who sacrificed their lives in two World Wars, and conflicts since, from the safety of their doorsteps.
Coronavirus cases continue to rise across our district and restrictions to help stop the spread of the virus mean remembrance events will have to take place differently this year.
Malvern Hills District Council has issued advice to local organisers to help them plan this year's events which will be small, socially distanced and invite-only.
Residents are being urged to stay away from war memorials between 10.30am and 11.30am on Remembrance Sunday (November 8) and Armistice Day (11 November) when these services may be taking place.
Instead people are being urged to shows their respects by standing on their doorsteps at 11am on both days to join in the national two-minute silence.
If anyone wants to lay a wreath or poppy cross on a war memorial then they are encouraged to do so at other times to suit them between 6 and 11 November.
Organisers of some remembrance services will be live streaming them over social media. Please check locally, or further down this page, for more information. Messages will also be posted on Malvern Hills District Council's social media accounts on the day.
People are also encouraged to print off the official poppy picture from the Royal British Legion website and display it in their window, in return for a donation to the charity. Poppies can also be bought online.
Cllr Martin Allen, Armed Forces Champion for Malvern Hills District Council, said: "All of us want to pay tribute to those who sacrificed so much for us, especially as this year marks 75 years since the end of the Second World War. This year we will have to do that differently as we fight an enemy of a very different kind to the one our troops faced.
"I urge everyone to print out the poppy picture and display it with pride and get out on to their doorsteps at 11am, and from a safe distance, remember our fallen."

Tenbury Royal British Legion Wreath Laying Ceremony on Remembrance Sunday 8 November
Due to Covid-19 and the social distancing restrictions currently in place there will be no remembrance parade or church service this year. Instead there will be a simple wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial in St Mary's churchyard on Remembrance Sunday. The event will be severely restricted by numbers (maximum 30) and will be an 'all ticket' event for Tenbury wreath layers from the ex-service organisations, district, town and parish councils and civilian groups. Wreath laying will start at 10.40am and the national two-minute silence will be observed at 11am. People are encouraged to place wreaths and poppy crosses at the Tenbury war memorial at a time convenient to themselves but are requested to avoid being in the immediate vicinity of St Mary's Church between 10.30am and 11.30am on Sunday, 8 November.
Upton-upon-Severn Remembrance Sunday Service
A short Remembrance Sunday service will take place in Lower High Street on 8 November followed by a wreath-laying ceremony. As everyone will be need to be socially distanced, unless you represent an organisation that is laying a wreath, we ask that you commemorate the day at home.
Mark Remembrance Sunday at home
People can mark Remembrance Sunday at home by joining in the national two-minute silence at 11am. Everyone is also encouraged to print off and display the official poppy picture, which can be downloaded from the Royal British Legion website at www.britishlegion.org.uk. Donations to this vital fund can also be made online.
Poppies to wear are available in shops although we understand that there will be no on-street poppy sellers this year.

Armistice Day, Wednesday 11 November
Members of Tenbury Royal British Legion and Royal Naval Association will gather in front of The Regal Cinema on Teme Street and, being appropriately socially distanced, observe the two minute silence at 11am. Traffic will be halted on Teme Street for a few minutes each side of 11am and members of the public in the vicinity at the time are invited to join us and respectfully observe the short period of silence and remembrance. Social distancing and the rule of six must be observed.
