A series of drop-in sessions are being held to connect the rural farming community within the Malvern Hills District.
The sessions, which will be held at The Café at Clive’s Fruit Farm near Upton upon Severn, will start on 9 April at 2pm to 3pm and will continue every second Wednesday of the month.
Members of the rural farming community are being encouraged to go along to meet Malvern Hills District Council’s (MHDC) Rural Farming Community Builder, Linda Price, to discuss projects and more.
Whether it is an idea for a course, activity or event, Linda will be available to talk through funding opportunities and support available.
There will also be an opportunity to meet other people within the community.
The sessions have been organised by the council in collaboration with the National Farmers’ Union and follow on from the success of a farming breakfast event in January.
Linda Price, Rural Farming Community Builder at MHDC, said: “This will be an opportunity to pop in and say hello and find out what a Community Builder does. Buy a cuppa at the counter or just pull up a chair and have a chat! We hope the drop-ins will be an opportunity to meet with other members of the farming community and find out what we can do to support. We understand the joys and challenges of the farming way of life and can help with information, networking, grants and more”.
The sessions will initially run for six months.
