If you are spotted littering by an officer, you will be issued immediately with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £500. You can also face court action with a maximum fine of £2,500.
If you witness someone dropping litter, you are happy to provide a statement and the person can be identified (such as the wearing of uniform, working in a shop or going into their property), you can report this to us and we can investigate.
