How can we help you?

The 2011 Localism Act set up a new system of neighbourhood planning, which provides a right for communities to work with the local authority to develop a neighbourhood plan.

These provisions allow for Neighbourhood Development Plans, Neighbourhood Development Orders and Community Right to Build Orders.

Although not a part of the Localism Act, the Council is very supportive of the existing arrangements for Community Led Plans, which is a step-by-step structured process, enabling local people to participate in and contribute to, improving the social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being of their local area.

To help local communities decide what is the most appropriate way of tackling local issues, Malvern Hills District Council has set up a series of flowcharts to help answer your questions - these are available for you to download below.
