Malvern Hills Good Neighbour Network
The Malvern Hills Good Neighbour Network is made up of over twenty Good Neighbour Schemes coordinated by local people in communities, linking volunteers to those in need of support. Some of these community groups are already established, and others have been set up as a community response to the COVID-19 crisis.

Neighbours helping Neighbours
During the pandemic we have witnessed an outpouring of compassionate support across The Malvern Hills District. This was shown by residents who created voluntary led Schemes to help their neighbour in need.
These Schemes are scattered across the district and make up The Malvern Hills Good Neighbour Network.
Residents help neighbours in all sorts of ways from friendly phone calls, delivering essential items, and giving lifts to appointments. These small acts of kindness have already made a huge difference to their neighbours’ lives.
“Our scheme has become a lifeline to our vulnerable neighbours” - Suckley Good Neighbour scheme
“These Schemes are key to tackling loneliness and isolation within their local community” - Good Neighbour Network Coordinator

The Network:
All Schemes are invited to be part of the The Malvern Hills Good Neighbour Network. This Network enables Schemes to come together to build strong connections between them, effectively innovative ways in how to tackle relevant topics, demonstrate and celebrate good practice and where useful resources are shared. This Network also supports the Malvern Hills connect communities’ strategy to build stronger, resilient, and sustainable communities across the district.
