Designated Neighbourhood Areas

Kempsey Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Kempsey as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 2nd July 2013.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in March 2013, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 10th May 2013.

Alfrick and Lulsley Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parishes of Alfrick and Lulsley as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 24th September 2013.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in June 2013, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 6th September 2013.

Clifton-upon-Teme Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Clifton-upon-Teme as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 24th September 2013.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in April 2013, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 28th June 2013.

Leigh and Bransford Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parishes of Leigh and Bransford as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 24th September 2013.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in May 2013, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 28th June 2013.

Martley, Knightwick and Doddenham Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parishes of Martley, Knightwick and Doddenham as a single Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 24th September 2013.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in July 2013, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 6th September 2013.

Welland Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Welland as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 12th May 2014.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in January 2014, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 4th April 2014.

Hanley Castle Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Hanley Castle as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 21st July 2014.

Following an application made by the Parish Council in April 2014, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 28th June 2014.

Malvern Town Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the area defined by the boundaries of the Town Council as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 22nd August 2014.

Following an application made by the Town Council in May 2014, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 25th July 2014.

Great Witley & Hillhampton Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parishes of Great Witley & Hillhampton as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 24th December 2014.

Following an application made by the Parish Councils in October 2014, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 12th December 2014.

Upton-upon-Severn Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the area defined by the boundaries of the Town Council as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 5th March 2015.

Following an application made by the Town Council in December 2014, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 20th February 2015.

Whilst the parish of Upton upon Severn remains designated as a neighbourhood area, the Town Council have advised the District Council that at the present time they no longer wish to develop a neighbourhood plan. 

Abberley Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Abberley as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 28th August 2015.

Following an application made by the Town Council in June 2015, the District Council held a six week consultation, which closed on 14th August 2015.

Tenbury and Burford Neighbourhood Area

Malvern Hills District Council and Shropshire Council designated the parishes of Tenbury and Burford as a single Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 17th March 2016.

Following an application made by Tenbury Town Council in November 2015, Malvern Hills District Council and Shropshire Council held a six-week consultation, which closed on 15th January 2016.

Malvern Wells Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Malvern Wells as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 10th March 2017.

Broadwas and Cotheridge Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parishes of Broadwas and Cotheridge as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 20th June 2017.

Hallow Neighbourhood Area

The District Council designated the parish of Hallow as a Neighbourhood Area, under Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 on 14th July 2017.
