Appeal Site: Land At (Os 7500 5952), Berrow Green Road, Martley
Planning Inspectorate Reference: APP/J1860/W/24/3348743
A public inquiry is taking place in relation to a planning appeal for Outline planning permission for up to 55 dwellings with means of access to the site be considered at this stage and all other matters reserved (appearance, landscaping, layout and scale). This is an appeal against the Refusal decision of the application.
About the public inquiry
An inspector has been appointed by the Secretary of State and the appeal will be heard by way of a public inquiry. The Inquiry is to be held at the Malvern Hills District Council, Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR14 3AF. The Inquiry will open at 10:00am on 26 November 2024 with subsequent days to start at 09:30am. The venue is unavailable on Tuesday afternoon. It will be sitting for up to 4 days (26-29 November), close by lunchtime on Friday 29 November.
The inquiry is being held in person only and anyone can visit to observe proceedings or to make their views about the application known to the inspector.

Case Management Conference
On 13 September 2024 the Planning Inspector appointed to hear this appeal on behalf of the Secretary of State held a case management conference with the representatives for the Council and the Appellant which took place virtually. No discussion took place on merits of the respective parties’ cases and no evidence was heard or submitted. The purpose of the conference was to set out a clear indication of the ongoing management of the appeals and the presentation of the evidence so that the forthcoming inquiry is conducted in the most efficient and effective manner.
